Agility Parks vs Agility Clubs

An agility club runs classes with an instructor, often working towards competitions. A dog agility park is a secure field with equipment that you hire and use yourself, with no class or instructor. It is a good way to try agility for fun, or to practise between classes.

Let your dog take each piece of equipment slowly at first, and ask your vet before starting jumps if your dog is young, older or has joint problems.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many dog agility parks are there in the UK?

We list 163 secure dog fields with agility equipment across the UK. The amount varies from a few pieces to full courses, and some fields have a separate agility paddock you can book on its own.

Do I need agility experience to use a dog agility park?

No. Agility parks are hired for your own use, so there is no class to keep up with. Start with low jumps and tunnels, let your dog go at their own pace, and use treats or toys rather than pushing them on.

Can I hire an agility field for a reactive dog?

Most agility parks are booked privately, so your dog has the field to themselves. Look for listings with a gap between bookings so you do not meet the previous visitors at the gate.
